Wearing Orange

I am wearing Orange today for Stellan. He went in this morning for his heart surgery. I am also praying for Stellan and his family. I have written about this family a few times. I hope you will pray for him also. As I have stated before I do not personally know this family, I have learned of their story through blogging. But every time I check in, through crises mode or everyday living, I can see God at work in their lives and through their lives. It is amazing.
Please keep praying for us that we make the right decision in regards to "E's" schooling, we need to have a decision made by May 1st and unfortunately we are not on the same page ("B" and I). He wants to do one thing and I want to do the other. Pray that we will come to see the best way for "E."
I am so looking forward to this weekend. I am getting together with some of my cousins, who I have not seen for a few years. It will be so fun to see everyone, their growing families and to just reconnect. It will also be a special weekend for my daughter and I since it will just be the two of us going.
This last week we have had a rash of illness go through our house. We visited the doctor 4 times. We had a bladder infection and recheck, sprained wrist, ear infection and possible strep; and that was all just the kids! I guess one more run of illness before summer, I can handle that. We have been fairly healthy all winter so if this is all I have to deal with; bring it on!
All right I suppose I have put off the Spring Cleaning long enough and I should probably get to it. But really I would enjoy just sitting down and reading a book.

Yes...

It is here and not a day to soon. The weather is warm enough today for me to go barefoot in my house without freezing my toes! Lets all do the spring dance! How nice it is to be able to feel the floor on your feet. For so many months you wear socks (maybe a couple of layers) and slippers or in door shoes. But that first day where it is warm enough it is a wonderful feeling to feel the floor beneath your feet! Who knew I would have so much to say about being barefoot for the first time :)
As I look outside I see no snow in our yard, my fingers are itching to start clearing gardens and cleaning up the yard. I can not wait.
The kids only have 6 weeks left of school, yikes! With all the school they have missed the teachers have no way of catching up, but they are doing the best they can. We have been dealing with a few school issues lately. Our oldest son brought home his first "F." Needless to say life as he knew it ended and he has been hitting the books a little harder. This is his last year of elementary and he needs to start being more responsible and organized....anyone know of a good way to teach a child to be organized? We have a huge decision concerning our daughter. Unfortunately the teachers do not think she is where she needs to be to be successful in second grade. Our options are to have her repeat first grade or find a really good tutor for the summer. I'm leaving this decision in Gods hands, He'll let me know what to do..
It is hard to get the kids to study now because all they want to do is go out and play...I really can not blame them, we had a rough winter and a lot of spring has not been that good.
Well it is that time, homework, supper, baths, so I had best go and get everyone on track. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Holiday.
Please keep praying for Stellan http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ he has been in the NICU for 4 weeks now. Go to their website to hear their story. You can just see and hear God working in their lives through this time of difficulty. They have also set up a fund for this family which can also be found at this website.
