Last week I left for a trip with my husband to Vegas. I was really looking forward to spending time with him and traveling, because I love to travel. Well, I am sorry to say but this trip was not great, it was not even good.
I may be one of few but I REALLY do NOT LIKE Vegas. That town/city is horrible. The best places I went were the M&M's store, the free circus show (for kids) and a wax museum. It was a basically a hot city with a lot of drunks and naked people. Above and Beyond that I could not believe all the parents that brought their kids there! What are they thinking!?
I also did not get to see much of my husband because he had his pool tournaments to compete in, which I knew from the beginning, but I thought that would be fine, I would keep myself busy in Vegas, that was before I realized how much I would not care for Vegas. So all I can say is that I've been there, done that, and now thank goodness I am home.
So today I brought my daughter into the Dr.'s because for the 3rd time she split her chin open. This happened when she was at my dad's and so had been over 24 hours, but it had mushy fat coming out of it so I wanted to see what the doctor could do......well long story short I will use my son's word:
"This stinks, $100 in copay alone, for the doctor to clean a boo-boo."
and still we have no groceries in the house because I figured after the kids sat first in the Dr.'s office and then the ER for over 3 1/2 hours they probably would not take to grocery shopping very well. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Wow...thank goodness that tomorrow is a NEW day!! :)
And I have to say, that even though I have never been to Vegas, for the very reasons that you mentioned, neither Martin nor I have any desire to go there! The lights might be fun to see at night, eat a good buffet and maybe take in some show...but nothing I would want to take vacation time to do. There are SO many other places I would rather see...and certainly I would NOT want to take my kids there. Maybe little kids wouldn't pay too much attention to the "Sin" in the City...but I guarantee you my big kids would pick up on it. Not my cup of tea either, Angela!! I'll go to Branson or Nashville if I want to take in a show! ;o) Glad to hear it from you, though...as it just confirms that which I already knew in my heart...don't bother!
Have a nice Wednesday...I'm saying a prayer that it's a GOOD DAY for you! :)
Hugs,
Tanya
I have been to Vegas three times. Twice we were passing through and once we stayed there. I don't like it either. Too hot and too much brown stuff. Don't get me started on the naked people...
I'm glad that you're home :)
So sorry that the trip wasn't all that you had hoped it would be. What a bummer! I'm guessing it makes you not take the wonderfulness of home for granted! :)
