I did not pretend to be totally surprised (and not horrified) when my kids brought me to the basement for a surprise and I saw all the Christmas decorations I did not use this year decorating their play area.

I then did not lie to my kids ( because for goodness sakes I am the mommy) and tell them how much I LOVED their surprise. No not me I told them the truth that although they were trying to do a good surprise...could they now put everything away...I do not really care if you need it all for a play for Christmas Eve, this is a mess and something could get broken....Can you guess what is still up in our basement?!?

I did not spend all day Friday hanging around the Mall because I am totally not dreading the next two weeks with all of my kids home from school (the fighting, the "I'm Bored" Syndrome," etc.) and wanted to have a little girl time first.

I did not finish my Christmas shopping this last week....that would be way too on top of things.

I did not spend all day Sunday alternately not watching TV and not taking naps.

I did NOT not step out of my house since Friday because I do not REALLY DISLIKE sub zero temperatures.

I did not have my 6 and 8 year old watch my 7 mos. old so I could not take a bath and not shave my legs which were not as hairy as a woolly mammoth. (scary image!)

Last but not least...I was not up all night last night with a sick child and I did not get so tired that I did not give him Tylenol, put drops in his ear and put a movie on for him to watch and I did not fall asleep on the couch next to him. No not me, I was super mommy and stayed awake with him all night!
